Hi, I’m Terka! 🌸

A year ago I decided to do something that perhaps didn’t make complete sense. I packed my suitcases and left for Sicily.

An island I had never visited before, yet something drew me to it incredibly strongly. And one visit was enough for me to know I was in the right place. ❤️

Sicily won me over with its beauty, its atmosphere, its temperament and that special magic that is hard to put into words. Since then I have discovered many wonderful places, met amazing people and lived moments I will never forget.

And even though I found my second home here, over time I began to miss something I used to take for granted. The Czech language, our way of being, and that feeling of chatting with someone in your mother tongue.

And that is how Sicílie s Terkou (“Sicily with Terka”) was born.

I decided to connect two worlds I love: my new life in Sicily and people from back home – and, today, travellers from all over the world.

I want to offer you more than just accommodation or a ride from the airport. I want to share with you the places I have discovered myself, my experience and all the beautiful things Sicily has shown me.

Because I know what it’s like to arrive somewhere for the first time and not know anyone. And I also know how nice it is to have someone on the spot you can turn to.

❤️ Why do I do all this?

I believe life is not only about the places we visit, but above all about the stories we take away from them. And I would love to be part of your stories.

I want you, one day, maybe twenty or thirty years from now, to look back and remember that wonderful holiday in Sicily. The moments with your family, the first swim in crystal-clear water, unforgettable sunsets, or an ordinary evening in a small Italian restaurant that turned into one of your most beautiful memories.

And if I could contribute to that even in a small way, then my work truly has meaning for me.

I don’t want to be just someone who hands you the keys to an apartment or picks you up at the airport. I want to be part of a story you will one day remember with a smile.

Because that is what Sicílie s Terkou is about for me. People, encounters and memories that last. ❤️
